Discover Lithuania’s natural gems on a day tour that reveals the gems of Lithuania: the biggest amber museum in the Baltic states, seaside resort of Palanga and Klaipeda Old Town.
Stroll through the Botanical park, founded by Count Tiskevicius more than a 100 years ago. Admire the combination of the natural landscape of the pine wood and the sea with the architecturally designed ponds and pathways. The 19th century Neo Renaissance style mansion now houses Palanga Amber Museum. In the museum you will find out all about the Baltic gold: its origins, places where amber can be found, unique inclusions containing insects, even lizards and bits of extinct plants, replica of the stone age and amber treasure.
Make a photo stop at honey coloured, Blue Flag awarded Palanga beach. Do not forget to look for amber, as it can still be found on the shore of the Baltic sea!
Everyone who comes to Palanga is drawn to the central walking promenade. There are cafes, bars and restaurants on both sides of the street. Enjoy this relaxing and merry atmosphere of the resort city.
The tour ends with a visit to Klaipeda Old town. Take a stroll along the narrow streets. Look for a hand made souvenir and choose a piece of amber at the handicrafts market stalls.
